Beautiful Spring Day

It was a great day today.  We started off the day with Iris and I going on a short run and meeting Mike as he walked up the powerline park path to us.  It has been quite a while since I ran because of being sick. It felt good to get moving again.

Then, we went to Home Depo and got yard supplies and flowers.  We spent several hours stating to clean up the backyard and planting a few flowers.  I love the pop of color.  I hope they last.  I also cleaned up the standing planter, rescued two strawberry plants and planted tomato plant and pepper plants.  We’ll see if we get anything from them.

We had a mediocre lunch at McMenamins in Sherwood and decided to go to a second McMenamins so we completed a page in our passport book.  It’s only the second prize we’ve earned and it was a good one – a growler and gift card for the amount to fill it.  Since we each have passports, that means double the prizes for us.  We are having a lot of fun with the McMenamins passports.

We all took an afternoon nap, Iris and I slept quite a bit longer than Mike.  Then we topped off the day with a fun cheese fondue dinner that that we both made.
