Busy weekend getting the house ready

We plan to put the house on the market in 2-4 weeks. I can’t believe how quickly the time has come. This morning, we made a trip to Home Depo to pick up the odds and ends that we’ve needed for a long time. Then, we cleaned the fireplace and tried to fix it, no luck.

Then, we attacked the yard. Mike mowed and used the new blower while I started weeding. We also attacked the bushes and small trees. We hacked away a lot, and they look much better. Our neighbor, Scott, brought over his edger and helped us with the yard. Another neighbor, Keith, loaned us his yard debris container because he wasn’t using it. We spent all morning working on the house and celebrated by going out to lunch with Iris and then napping as a family.

We aren’t quite sure where we’re going to move but we’re talking to some friends about renting their Portland house. If that doesn’t work, we’ll either rent an apartment or a house somewhere else. Exciting times!
