Hi.

Run, bike, beer

Run, bike, beer

It was a fantastic morning.  We started with a great three mile run.  The sky was slightly smokey from all the wildfires in Oregon and Washington.  It got worse this afternoon.  After the run, we went to the Saturday market and bought some beautiful vegetables, peaches, and a salmon fillet. Mike and Iris visited a holistic pet store while I was buying veggies.  It was a great store.  They gave us a ton of samples and the guy in the store was very knowledgeable.  It’s probably our new go-to store.

We dropped Iris off at home and went to my office for a bike ride.  We borrowed the firm bikes and went for a ride along the Springwater Trail.  It’s the first time we were on bikes for quite some time, except for my short ride on the ebike.  We rode 9-9.5 miles.  It was a work-out for me, a little less so for Mike.  It was definitely something different for us, which is what we wanted.

We celebrated our ride with a trip to Basecamp Brewery where we had a delicious beer sampler and sausage pastries.  It didn’t exactly (or at all) conform to our low carb diet, but it was delicious.

We came home and gave Iris is a frozen yogurt dog treat.  She loved it.  She had to lick it out of a small container, similar to a small Ben & Jerry’s container.  She was so happy.
