Maui Maui Maui

It’s been a fun, yet busy, three days in Maui. We are here for the OADC Board retreat. We are staying at the Fairmont Kea Lani, which is very nice and beautiful. Our adventure started on the flight here, when there was a medical emergency and the stewardess asked if anyone on the plane had medical experience. The lady sitting directly in front of Mike was unresponsive, shaking and convulsing. There was a doctor on the plane who assisted her. Luckily, once they put the lady on oxygen, she snapped right out of it.

The OADC retreat was really good and productive. It was great to meet the other board members’ spouses and socialize with everyone outside of work. We haven’t had much free time because of my board obligations, but we had Friday and Saturday afternoons free to explore a bit. The weather has been humid and quite warm, reaching the mid-90s today. We’ve eaten some amazing food. And it was the first time someone put a lei around my neck in welcome. That was cool. We need to come back when we have more time to explore.
