Smith Rock Trip

This weekend, we went to Smith Rock so Mike could work on his climbing goal. We had a long hike to the Mudpile. Iris enjoyed leading on the trail.

Mike warmed up on a 11b. It was a stout warm-up. Then he worked on a 11c. He got all the moves but has not yet red pointed it yet. We will return and he’ll definitely get it. I didn’t climb because I was tired from my 11 mile run earlier that morning.

Iris spent time getting to know Mattie. Iris was a little crabby. She hadn’t slept and was tired from our hike at Smith Rock. The two will be fast friends once they get to know each other better. It was a great weekend.
