Lights, Errands, and A Date

Lights, Errands, and A Date

We’ve had a nice past couple of days. On Thursday, Mike asked me to meet him at the Cedar Hills McMenamins after work. We had dinner and he suggested we go to a movie. We saw Service Bureau with Matt Damon. The movie was OK. Mike thought it was a suspense movie and it ended up being a chick flick. He wasn’t all that thrilled. It was a really nice surprise to have a date night and we had a great time.

Our new housekeeper, Maggie, started Friday morning and the house looks fantastic. It took her 4.5 hours to get it into shape and it really needed it. We’re excited to have her help us. Friday night was pretty mellow. We (really I) watched three episodes of Battlestar Gallactica.

Saturday morning, we got a lot of errands done. We bought recessed lights for the exercise room, took the car to DEQ, made a Dream Dinners order, and made our menu and bought the food. By 1:00, we had accomplished a lot and were slowing down. Mike was still ready to install the lights in the exercise room and he completed the project while I helped a little but mostly walked on the treadmill and kept him company. That night, we met the Neds at the Rialto for dinner and drinks. We then played mini golf at the pirate-themed place. It was cheesy but also fun.

Today, we both work up with a bit of a hang-over. I ran with my running group and then we worked for a few hours together in Mike’s office. Mike finished cleaning up the exercise room while I took care of laundry. We’re done early today and I think a little X-Box action is in our immediate future.
