Helping Friends Move, Dentist, and Last Weekend in Seattle

I just had a great experience with my new dentist. I broke part of my tooth on Monday, actually I found out that it was an old filling that had broken. Dr. Evans was young, about my age, and he was quick. I was in and out of the office within 25 minutes. And no shot necessary. Fantastic.

Earlier today, we helped Bree and Patrick move from their apartment to their new house. We only spent a couple hours helping, but it was enough to remind us how much moving sucks. It was nice to help them though and to see their new place.

Dream Dinners, check. Moving friends, check. Work a little, check. Dentist, check. Now it’s time to sit on our butts and watch Dexter or Battlestar Gallactica, depending on who wins the TV selection battle. Mike is rooting for Dexter.

Last weekend: I went to Seattle with Deanna, Carol, and Tara last weekend. It was great. We spent three nights in a rented condo near the water downtown. We ate at a couple fabulous restaurants, including sushi one night. And Deanna and Carol went way beyond themselves by making a delicious four course Superbowl meal. It started with chips and homemade guacamole, followed by outstanding potato skins. Then, some fresh crab bruschetta and concluding with steak nachos. I was so full but it was so good and fun to watch the big game. I was glad Wisconsin won because Tara is from there and is a big fan. We saw The Music Experience and Science Fiction Museum, with a Battlestar Gallactica exhibit. We also walked to Pike’s Place Market a couple times and bought a fresh crab for our Superbowl feast. We drank quite a bit and had a fantastic weekend.
